Many people may not be familiar with Christopher Duffley, but they should. He is a gifted youngster who also happens to be blind and autistic, with a pure singing voice. His amazing kind and warm demeanor, which those who know him have always treasured, separates him from his peers and not his impairments.
Christopher Duffley wasn’t able to speak until the first grade, so the mere fact that he is now singing and speaking at all is a miracle in and of itself. However, it is a well-known fact that music frequently serves as the catalyst for mute autistics to begin speaking in some way. Although the exact cause of this is unknown, it is safe to assume that music has a unique ability to unite people.
Christopher had many disadvantages from the moment of his birth, as his stepfather explains in the video below. Christopher was born prematurely with cocaine in his system as a result of his birth parents’ addiction issues. Fortunately, when his parents realized they couldn’t care for their youngster, his aunt stepped in. She prayed to the Lord for assistance and direction, and he immediately gave her both.
She has nurtured Christopher as her own ever since, giving him every chance she can!
Despite having a difficult childhood, Christopher has proven to have a fighting spirit. His family believed he would never be able to fit into society after learning he was mute. But eventually, he heard the music.
The fact that Christopher had perfect pitch and never skipped a beat surprised his family!
His uncle introduced him before a concert, saying, “We went down to Florida and took him out of the foster care system. He loves to share his gifts, and he has been a treasure to our family.
Today, Christopher uses his musical talent to advocate for persons with autism and spread awareness.
Christopher has the ability to work for his church and the autism community while touching the hearts of people all across the world. But more importantly, he is engaging in his favorite activity, which is touching people’s hearts through his emotive singing and lovely musical performances.
