A couple was delighted to welcome their third child into the world. However, his hair color left them and their doctors at a loss for words.
A hospital in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, was abuzz with the news of a little boy’s birth. Mom Klaudia and dad Tamas loved baby Bence from the first moment they held him, and they immediately realized he was a special boy.
The December 2015 birth caused lots of laughter in the family’s hospital room because the staff had never seen a baby who looked like Bence. He had lots of hair—it was milk-white, and according to some people, it looked gray.
His Doctors Did Many Different Tests
The hair color was unusual for a baby, and doctors did multiple tests to ensure the child was healthy. They assessed whether his mom was stressed during pregnancy, along with various other considerations which could’ve impacted his appearance.
Fortunately, all the results showed good news and confirmed baby Bence was fit as a fiddle. The 12-pound baby also wasn’t in pain and had no genetic disorders or albinism.
While the reasons for Bence’s rare and unexpected looks were yet to be determined, the child had already gained widespread fame and adoration online. People were stunned by his hair color, and many wanted to know more about him.
Happy He Was Healthy
The curiosity surrounding the child grew, and everyone wondered what caused his unique hair color. Amid the excitement, the parents didn’t mind the laughter or the interest—they were simply relieved baby Bence was happy and in good health.
Dad Tamas had blond hair until age three, but it was nothing like Bence’s pale white head of hair. The child also had shimmering white eyebrows and eyelashes, making him one-of-a-kind in the hospital.

Another Baby with a Unique Head of Hair
Babies are adorable and only a handful are like Bence, born with unique features. Patricia Williams planned to name her unborn baby Redd, but only if he didn’t have red hair. She was thrilled to see his pale white locks when he was born.
However, it took some time for her to realize something special about Redd. Doctors confirmed he had albinism, and while it was a shock at first, the mom quickly learned it wasn’t as daunting as she imagined.
She adjusted to meet her child’s health needs and made small lifestyle changes like stocking up on sunscreen. Her fourth son was also born with the same condition, and she couldn’t have been prouder of her unique brood.
