Al Rocker Celebrates Christmas With Family After Returning From Hospital | “Incredibly Grateful To Family and Friends”
When he returned home, he posted a photo of himself in his family’s kitchen, along with a photo of his wife and daughter.
NBC’s Today show weather anchor, journalist, television personality, and author Al Roker expressed his gratitude for staying home at Christmas and celebrating it with his family, according to People. The 68-year-old spent this seasonal holiday with his wife Deborah Roberts, 62, an ABC News journalist and their children, son Nick, 20, and daughter Leila, 24, plus Roker’s older daughter Courtney, 35. They were also joined by Courtney’s husband, Wesley Laga.
The anchor returned home earlier this month after being readmitted to the hospital due to ongoing health problems. He had posted a photo of the sunrise and the city skyline, telling his followers that he hoped to be out of the hospital soon. “Hopefully coming home soon but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to see that and recharge,” he captioned the Instagram post. “God Bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family.” He was initially hospitalized for blood clots in his leg and lungs but was released several weeks later. Roker was rushed back to the hospital last month, just one day after being discharged on Thanksgiving. When he returned home, he posted a photo of himself in his family’s kitchen, along with a photo of his wife and daughter. Roker captioned the sentimental celebration, “Home! So incredibly grateful to family, friends, medical folks, @todayshow family and all your thoughts and prayers.”
