Rita Roeland, who is 65 years old, had long since given up on the hope of becoming a singer, but her daughter convinced her to audition for a singing competition. The song “At Last” by Etta James was the one that Rita choose to perform on The Voice of Flanders. This contestant from Herzele, Belgium completely blew away all four coaches competing on The Voice Senior. They rated it as one of the most impressive performances they had ever seen.

Rita needed some time to loosen up and allow her voice to flow freely, but once she did, her passion and musical skill caused all of the judges to sit up and take note of her performance. The first judge to turn was Helmut Lotti, and the two judges who followed him nearly simultaneously turned their chairs. In the end, Rita decided that she wanted to be a part of the Lotti team.

This secret bird picked a tune that has been performed by notable artists such as Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, and Beyoncé. The fact that Rita Roeland’s voice and range are on par with those of the most talented competitors on The Voice Senior was the aspect of her performance that took everyone by surprise. Her voice is perfectly in tune with the song “At Last,” which has been around for a long time, and she sings it beautifully whenever she does so.
