Before, nobody was familiar with Adam Lambert. This was before the apprehensive young artist made the decision to try out in front of Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Simon Cowell. Despite this being the performer’s first public debut, he chose the risky song Bohemian Rhapsody. Few vocalists can match Freddie Mercury’s range on the classic Queen song, which is famously tough to cover. He had to do it a cappella, which made it even more difficult. Lambert managed to overcome his trembling and deliver a flawless performance.
According to Rolling Stone, Queen’s two surviving members, Brian May and Roger Taylor, were also impressed by the spontaneous performance. Lambert joined the group in 2011, and as you are surely aware, he has served as its frontman for the most of the past ten years. According to the band’s website, they are now touring with their aptly named “Rhapsody Tour,” which includes shows around Europe.
Lambert has been leading this storied classic rock band for the most of his life, yet he still makes time for some extracurricular pursuits. Because of Whataya Want from Me, he received a Grammy Award nomination, and he made history by becoming the first openly gay singer to top the Billboard 200 chart.
Lambert’s return to American Idol as a guest judge in 2015 was perhaps his most entertaining side activity. He was filling in for Keith Urban at the moment while the country singer mourned the passing of his father-in-law. No previous participant had ever earned the right to return as a judge before Lambert graced the panel. Harry Connick Jr. stated that he wasn’t able to evaluate Lambert’s initial audition when they were both seated next to him. Lambert discovered that his fellow judge wasn’t making jokes after initially playing off the comments for chuckles. He got up in reaction and executed a full-fledged retaliation. He even recited his old catchphrase, “I ain’t skeered,” before starting to sing.
As you can see, Lambert has always had the genuine showman’s spirit. It’s incredible to consider that this young man was merely attempting to go on from the preliminary round of a television singing competition. He currently plays lead vocals for the band whose song helped him get a job. There has never been a rise to superstardom like this, and Lambert is the only person more deserving of it.
