The relationship between JoJo Siwa and her lover Avery Cyrus has come to an end.

The Nickelodeon mogul, 19, and her TikTok creator partner, 22, who made their relationship public for the first time in September by announcing that they were officially dating, have broken up, Cyrus said in a remark she made on a post on TikTok on Saturday.

Sharing a video from her vacation in the tropics, Siwa can be seen in the video telling Cyrus, “This is my sorry for breaking up with your gift.” Siwa and Cyrus had previously been romantically involved.

One of the fans stated this in the comments section: “Now all I want to know is the reason why, to which Cyrus replied, “We agreed that it would be best for us to remain friends! We are both very young, and we are both still working through the process of figuring out our own lives.”

After filming a TikTok video together on August 5, the exes initially gave rise to romantic speculation, sparking claims that they were an item. A voiceover was provided by Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian, and the two were seen mouthing the phrases along with it.

Siwa performed a lip sync to the line “We’re buddies.” Cyrus’s statement that their relationship was “100 percent platonic” made Siwa laugh out loud.

During the weeks that followed, Cyrus and Siwa continued to leave flirtatious comments for one other in the comment sections of each other’s social media postings, as well as appearing in each other’s social media posts.

Cyrus and Siwa made their romance public on September 13 with a TikTok video that featured the two of them kissing in a photo booth at Chuck E. Cheese. After two days, the pair made their first public appearance together on the red carpet.

Then, in October, Siwa declared that she was completely off the market by releasing an Instagram picture dump that included one of a “JoJo Be My GF?” sign created by Cyrus. In the caption, Siwa asked JoJo whether she would be interested in dating Cyrus. After that, she provided the necessary proof in the form of a YouTube vlog.

“We’re girlfriends now. I’m so thrilled you said yes. “I knew you weren’t going to say no, I was just anxious,” Cyrus said. In response, Siwa remarked, “I’d be nuts if I said no, you’re the greatest girlfriend in the world.” Cyrus admitted that she was nervous.”

In November, to celebrate their one-month anniversary, the judge from So You Think You Can Dance surprised Cyrus with a romantic lunch on the beach, complete with a tent, balloons, umbrellas, cushions, flowers, and goodies.

As Jojo recounted to her then-girlfriend on an Instagram Reel from the time, she believed they were going on a “regular beach date,” but instead, a “surprise” was waiting for them when they got there.

She titled the video with the phrase, “Celebrating our 1 month in the most special way.” “To the happiest girl who makes me happier than I’ve ever been, I wish you a joyful first month!”

This news comes many months after Siwa made public in August that she had ended her relationship with on-and-off partner Kylie Prew. After Siwa came out as a member of the LGBTQ community, the two of them decided to make their relationship known to the world for the first time.

After spending the day with the TikTok group Pride House LA, Siwa announced in January 2021 that she was a member of the LGBTQ community by lip-syncing Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” The fact that she was wearing a t-shirt that proclaimed “BEST GAY COUSIN EVER” at the moment verified it.

“But like, I have no idea, there are bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, and straight people. “I usually just say homosexual because it just sort of covers everything or queer because I think the term is great,” the celebrity said in an interview that she does not want to “label” herself.

“I like a good queer,” she went on to say. “Technically, I would say that I am pansexual because that is how I have always been throughout my whole life; it’s just like, my human is my human,” she said. “My human is my human.”

Jojo continued by saying that she “never intended” her coming out to be a “big issue,” but that she has “known” since she was a young age that she is a lesbian. She said that she did not want people to watch her videos or purchase her stuff if they did not want to support not just her but also the LGBTQ community. “My problem is, I don’t want people to watch my videos or buy my merchandise,” she added.
