Kevin Costner is known for his work as an actor, director (for which he won an Academy Award), and musician; nevertheless, when he’s with his family at home, he’s known simply as Dad.
The Yellowstone actor, who is 67 years old, and his wife of 18 years, Christine, who is 48 years old, have a daughter named Grace, who is 12, and two sons named Cayden, who is 15, and Hayes, who is 13. Annie and Lily, both of whom are girls, as well as Joe and Liam, both of whom are sons, are Costner’s older children from prior relationships.
In his new documentary series Yellowstone One-Fifty for Fox Nation, which is currently available to stream on Fox Nation and examines the history and fauna of Yellowstone National Park in honor of the park’s 150th anniversary, Costner adds that becoming a father is one of his greatest joys.
In the most recent edition of PEOPLE, he is quoted as saying, “You’ve got to get down on the ground and play with them.” “You also train kids to be independent, which is great, but the unfortunate side is that they actually wind up being independent. I’m just like every other parent out there: I’m trying to figure out how to raise my kids.”
In addition, Costner mentions that his son Hayes, who is now a teenager, will play a supporting role in the upcoming four-part western epic Horizon.
According to Costner, “He’s pretty good.” “But I suppose you could say that I did it on purpose so that he could spend more time with me. And the same goes for Cayden, and the same goes for Grace as well. “Wow, that is very interesting. You really ought to come to hang out with me.”
According to Costner, his days off are spent focusing on his family while he is not working.
“I am in the business of providing. However, despite the fact that I am a parent and a spouse, I am not the center of the universe “he explains. “When I’m not working on a movie, you may find me driving about with my wife and our three children, either helping them get to their various activities or waiting for them to emerge from a party. I’m just going to sit here and twiddle my thumbs. People have the erroneous notion about how things operate in my life.”
