Man breaks record for visiting all Washington Metro stations․ But see why he does that.

18 November (UPI) — In 8 hours and 54 minutes, a travel blogger visited every Metro stop in the greater Washington, D.C. area, setting a new Guinness World Record.

On the first day of the Silver Line’s regular operations with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Lucas Wall stepped up to the challenge…

Wall boarded at the brand-new Ashburn Station and arrived at the final destination, Huntington, 8 hours and 54 minutes later…

According to Guinness World Records, Wall’s time was nearly an hour longer than the previous record of 7 hours and 59 minutes set by Scott Bennett in December 2019, before the addition of six new stations to the Metro system…

According to Wall’s interview with WTTG-TV, he competed in the WMATA Transit Race, also known as the D.C. Metro Challenge, to bring attention to the long-awaited transit development in the national capital region and to serve as a benchmark for future competitors.
