When Stranger Finds Lost Wallet on Airplane, He Returns It to Owner With Even More Cash Inside… But see how they react to that…

A kind-hearted traveler on an airplane made sure that a young man, age 20, was reunited with his wallet, and even gave the young man a little something extra as a gesture of apology for the time they had to spend apart.

The first time that Hunter Shamatt lost his wallet occurred earlier this month, when he was traveling from Omaha to Las Vegas to attend the wedding of his sister. He was flying on Frontier Airlines.

As soon as he realized that he had misplaced his wallet, he called the airline to see if someone had turned it in; however, his efforts were in vain.

He “feared the worst” when he lost his wallet because it included his identification, a signed paycheck, his debit card, and sixty dollars in cash.

However, not long after the flight, Hunter was taken aback when he discovered that he had received a package in the mail from an unknown sender.

Within was found his wallet, in addition to an additional forty dollars in cash.

A letter that was included with the item said, “Found this on a Frontier aircraft from Omaha to Denver-row 12, seat F stuck between the seat and wall.”

The letter was attached to the package. I figured you’d want it back at some point. I wish you the best. PS: I increased the amount of money you had to an even $100 so that you may enjoy finding your wallet again. Have fun!!!”

Jeannie, Hunter’s mother, took a picture of the letter and shared it on social media in the hopes of locating the person who had written it and expressing gratitude to them for their act of generosity.

All of the information that they had to rely on was the fact that the letter came from Applied Underwriters in Omaha and that it was signed with the sender’s initials, “T.B.”

Todd Brown, a father of five who was overjoyed at the opportunity to “have a little fun” while helping out a hard-working stranger, was later discovered to be the Good Samaritan. Brown’s identity was ultimately revealed.

“I saw that he was just a kid, 20 years old, and he had a paycheck in there, so I figured, ‘Well, he’s doing his best to make ends meet,’ but I was 20 once, and that’s a lot of money for a kid,” Brown said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. “I saw that he was just a kid, 20 years old, and he had a paycheck in there.”

“They expressed a great deal of gratitude. Hunter felt a deep sense of gratitude. Brown continued, “He mentioned that he needed to make some payments on his student loans and a car payment, so it seemed like the appropriate time for this opportunity.”

They had the impression that it was gone for good. When he finally did open it, Jeannie reported that he immediately began yelling, “No way! No way!”

Brown claims that he frequently attempts to perform good things without receiving any acknowledgment, which is why he did not write his full name on the letter; nonetheless, Jeannie asked that the Nebraska native be praised on social media after the fact. Brown is originally from Nebraska.

She stated on Facebook that she tries to instill in her children the values of doing what is right in life and helping others wherever possible, regardless of the consequences.

“More than anything else, this tale is about rekindling people’s faith in one another.

“Everything in the wallet was easily replaceable,” she said. There is a lot of negative news reported, but not nearly enough positive news.

My wife and I would want to extend our gratitude to Todd Brown and his family for helping us regain hope that there are wonderful people in the world and that things are not as hopeless as they are made out to be.
