The baby boy born without a jaw wasn’t going to survive… Look at him today as the first mute rapper…

When Isaiah Acosta was born in 1999, he was in a life-or-death situation.

Because of a disease called situs inversus, he was born without a jaw, unable to eat or communicate, and without 15 minutes of oxygen.

Doctors warned his mother that even if he survived, he would have no quality of life. However, 20 years later, this fighter is not only living a healthy existence but also making waves in the music industry.

Phoenix, Arizona native Isaiah Acosta is a wonderful example of why you should never give up on your goals.

He was born two months early, without a jaw, and his survival wasn’t anticipated. He still needs a breathing tube and is incapable of speaking or eating on his own.

However, Isaiah pulled through and has persevered ever since.

Isaiah’s mother Tarah talks about how much of a miracle her son is in a documentary on his life. Isaiah entered the world on October 31, 1999, two weeks ahead of schedule.

“Everything in his body has been reversed mirror images. Everything, I mean his heart and gut,” Tarah remarked.

Because Isaiah was born without a jaw, his parents had to decide whether to risk saving him or not. In addition to not being able to walk or communicate, Tarah’s son would essentially be bedridden.

Isaiah is a living example of what you can accomplish if you set your mind to it, despite significant obstacles, 23 years later.

Isaiah can illuminate a room with only his smile thanks to his charming demeanor!

His “favorite teacher,” Chris, described Isaiah as “coming to school every day eager and ready to interact, he binds his community around, people want to hear his story, they want to be around him.”

Isaiah is not only actively involved in the community, but he is also pursuing his passion of working in the music industry, which is amazing given that he is a non-verbal young man.

Isaiah has never tasted food because he lacks a lower jaw or upper airways, and he needs to be fed six times a day through a feeding tube on his tummy.

Unfortunately, Isaiah gets sick more frequently than most people because of his condition. He is unable to breathe through his mouth or nose, therefore he does not receive the same amount of filtered fresh air.

The worst times for Isaiah are typically during the arid Arizona winters.

However, Isaiah is not only able to converse but also make songs and loves to rap thanks to his phone and distinctive gestures.

Isaiah’s first verse was voiced by Phoenix rapper Tikey “Trap House” Patterson. Sadly, the rapper passed away from pancreatic cancer in January 2019.

He had advised Isaiah that he should “always rise to be able to achieve what he wants to do and never let the opinions of others hold him back from attaining his goals.”

Isaiah has gotten motivation to keep going from his fellow rapper. Even more impressively, he last year earned his high school diploma, which his family never anticipated.

Isaiah said, “I’m going to carry on his Trap House legacy by telling our story and spreading kindness.”

Isaiah has built up a sizable following on social media over the years, where he shares moments from his day-to-day life and his tale.

His photos and videos do a terrific job of drawing attention to a problem that sadly causes people to just evaluate him on the basis of his appearance.

Isaiah gave some good news to his 150,000 Instagram followers in 2022. Isaiah announced that the physicians had worked on his nose alongside a picture from after his procedure.

The young man wrote, “After 22 years, I will hopefully be able to obtain air flow via my nose.”

In the video below, learn more about this incredible young man.
