Harry once left the Queen a mischievous voicemail, and she thought his antics were hilarious… Check it out here…

We sometimes forget that Queen Elizabeth was also a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, despite the fact that the vast majority of us have always seen her as a powerful woman who is the symbol of a powerful monarchy.

It has been said that when Prince William and Prince Harry’s mother passed away in a terrible accident, the Queen took on a far more active role in her grandson’s lives.

It goes without saying that Queen Elizabeth adored all of her grandkids. She formed strong bonds with each of them. While she was a Queen to the rest of the world, she was also a grandmother to her grandchildren.

When the new Prince of Wales expressed his feelings about the death on Instagram, he said that although she was his Queen, she was also his grandma, and he would miss the special connection they shared a lot.

Similarly, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has a very special bond and relationship with his grandmother. She was the Queen of England, but to Harry, she was simply his grandmother, and they had a very special relationship.

Their relationship was particularly close when Harry was a little boy and often saw the Queen. As he got older, he started to learn from Queen Elizabeth’s behavior and how she ran her affairs.  He saw personally how his grandma behaved, putting others’ needs ahead of her own.

When compared to his elder brother, he was believed to have a personality that was less serious and more cheerful. In a similar manner, it was common knowledge that he had a very mischievous and interesting relationship with his grandma. In both private and public settings, it was common knowledge that they had what was described as a “warm and jokey grandmother grandson bond.”

One of the most well-known incidents from Harry’s childhood was when he gave his grandmother a present that, had it come from anybody else, may not have been welcomed with the same enthusiasm. At Christmas time, he presented the Queen with a shower cap that with the message on it, “Ain’t life a [expletive]?” The Queen reportedly thought the gift was hilarious and that she really enjoyed it.

Another much-discussed incident included the Duke of Sussex being given a significant task by his grandmother, the Queen. She asked her grandson, Prince Harry, for help when she got her first cell phone. She requested that he leave her a voicemail message. And, being a good grandson, he did what she asked.

He recorded a message that was reportedly pretty funny. “Hey, wassup?” He asked in the message. “This is Liz. Sorry, I’m away from the throne. Press one for Philip, two for Charles, and three for the Corgis!”

According to rumors, Queen Elizabeth’s private secretary at the time, Robin Janvrin, was surprised to receive this communication. But when the late queen heard about it, she thought the whole affair was absolutely hilarious.

It was evident that the late queen held her adored grandson Prince Harry in a special place in her heart. People were shocked when the Duke of Sussex revealed his connection with Meghan Markle and his plans to marry her.

American biracial woman Meghan Markle was previously divorced. Although some people thought the monarchy would not accept her, it was eventually revealed that the Queen had given her a warm welcome.

According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, the Queen approved of the marriage because she recognized the good she did in her grandson’s life. But Harry’s actions were what had made the Queen angry.

A source said that “she was really disturbed” by some of Harry’s requests and the means he used. The same source went on to say that the Queen did not like that Harry and Meghan hired their own cake maker and florist rather than using her staff, which was another item she did not like.

Two years after their wedding, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a shocking announcement: they were giving up their roles as working royals. Harry told everyone that the Queen and his father, who is now King Charles, were aware of the decision and had been involved in making it.

After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their roles as senior royals, they relocated to the United States. Even though it seemed like Harry had caused a rift between himself and his family, sources said that the Queen didn’t wish him any harm and would welcome them back into the family if they ever changed their minds.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s appearance on Oprah put an end to the rumor that Harry and his grandmother, the Queen, did not get along. “I have spoken more with my grandma in the past year than I have done in many, many years,” he said during the interview.

He said that he respected his grandma and that he still thought of her as a great role model. Although some people believed that she would also take away the couple’s titles of Duke and Duchess, it was made clear that this was not the case and that the Queen would never use such a radical step.

The news of the Queen’s illness spread while Harry and Meghan were already in the United Kingdom; consequently, the couple decided to cancel their appearance at the WellChild Awards in London, and Harry traveled to Scotland on his own.

Soon after the news that the Queen had passed away was made public, Harry’s flight finally landed. It is understandable that he did not want to be photographed and was seen traveling to Balmoral in a black SUV while hiding part of his face with his hand.

Even though Prince Harry couldn’t make it to Balmoral in time to see his grandmother,  the family wanted him to be there.

Prince Harry wrote, “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings—from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my Commander-in-Chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.”

He went on writing, “I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed, not just by us, but by the world over.” It was obvious that there was a significant amount of love still remained in their relationship.

It is well known that King Charles’ two sons do not get along well with each other. It is often obvious when the two of them do not appear together at significant occasions. Or consider the fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton did not even bother to show up to the first birthday celebration for Harry’s kid.

But some people think that their grandmother’s death might have brought them closer together. The brothers and their wives all showed up at Windsor Castle at the same time over the weekend. It’s crucial that the four of them maintain their unity despite the grief their family is going through.

Prince Harry has gone a long way and grown into a wise and responsible man. It is a gift that he was able to have a healthy connection with his grandma throughout his whole life.
