This is a tribute that Laura Dern is paying to her mother, Diane Ladd.
Tuesday was Diane Ladd’s 87th birthday, and to celebrate, Jurassic Park actress Bryce Dallas Howard shared a photo of her and her daughter Billie wearing matching red bikinis.
“Happy birthday, goddess mama!” Dern, 55, wrote. “You are both an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me and my favorite person to go swimming with! And simply the best actor in the history of the world!”
On Dern’s great day, her social media followers gave the winner of both the BAFTA and the Golden Globe additional praise and acclaim.

In her speech from the previous year, Dern paid respect to her mother and expressed how much she adores her.
She said that there was “nothing like waking up my cutie mama on her birthday surrounded by friends and cakes!” in reference to the cinema veteran who was born in Mississippi and has appeared in over one hundred different productions. “I adore you beyond all comprehension, incredible Diane!!!!!!! I am one of the luckiest daughters in the world.”
On Monday, the actress who won an Academy Award shared a tribute to another important lady in her life: her daughter Jaya. Jaya is the daughter of the actress.
The mother of two children shared a photo carousel on Instagram to honor her daughter Jaya on the occasion of her 18th birthday. The photo carousel included pictures of Jaya when she was a young girl, as well as a more recent picture.
“My girl turned 18 today!!! ” the ecstatic mother stated in the text message. “I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Jaya! You educate me each and every day on what it is to be an artist and an activist who is sincere and genuine in their empathy.”
Dern finished by saying, “I love you with everything that I am.”
Ben Harper, with whom Dern was previously married, is the father of Jaya and her son Ellery, who is 21 years old.
In March, the 55-year-old star of Jurassic World Dominion made an appearance on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she discussed her daughter’s desire to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Laura Dern expressed her delight at the prospect of her daughter Jaya following in her footsteps as an actress, following in the footsteps of both of her parents, Ladd and Bruce Dern.
She offered an explanation by saying, “There is something extremely emotional about it.” “Jaya is 17 years old, whereas I began my career when I was very young, at the age of 11; yet, I’m very thrilled that she’s waiting and wants to go to school, but genuinely knows in her heart that she wants to act.”
