Military son returns from abroad to surprise his mom at her graduation party…


A pinning ceremony is held to celebrate the graduation of nursing students.

The ceremony is significant. About 35 students were recovering their pins after the pinning ceremony at the Rasmussen College Mankato campus in Minnesota.

Each graduate chooses a particular recipient to hand them their pins.

One of the graduates was 50-year-old Penny Pearson. Dustin, Penny’s son, is a Sergeant in the American Army.

He wouldn’t be able to attend the event because he had spent the previous year abroad in Kuwait, or would he?

Penny had intended for her husband to give her her pin, but that isn’t what truly happened.

As Penny is called up to receive her pin, observe.She starts crying while the audience cheers her on!
