The Honky Tonk dance performed by this couple still amazes people today…

A recently posted video of Katie Boyle and Jason Calacino performing at a honky tonk has received over 8 million views.

The West Coast Swing is a distinctive style of movement that Jason has become well-known for. He started to move into line when he became a little child. He subsequently went on to master more complicated dance forms like partner dancing, jazz, salsa, and even the Argentine tango.

Katie didn’t even move till she was 2 years old. Through her years in school, she continued to prepare. She is presently employed as an expressive arts educator in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The pair perform an explosive “Honky Tonk” performance to the popular song “Honky Tonk Woman” in the video below. The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards and Mick Jagger wrote the song while they were on tour in Brazil, despite the fact that the song’s pace distinctly resembles a bluegrass song. The vocalists claim that the Brazilian “Caipiras” music in some way inspired the song.

The fact that the pair’s feet rarely touch the earth while they dance is another interesting fact about them. This exercise regimen includes several lifts that call for grace, power, and exceptional balance. It is quite beautiful to watch.

Watch as Jason performs a truly impressive lift. The two seem completely at ease! Jason and Katie execute flawless lifts, plunges, twists, and rotations with great control over their fluid moves. It should come as no great surprise that the pair won the competition’s top prize.
